Neenus Youssef Khoshaba is a 56-year-old computer engineer and businessman. He was based in Skokie, Illinois and Saudi Arabia until the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, at which point he moved back to Iraq. Mr. Khoshaba disappeared after leaving his home for a business meeting. He was reportedly with his business partner and another companion, a brother of the Assyrian Christian bishop of Kirkuk. All three men are reportedly missing. Mr. Khoshaba is also a Christian Assyrian. On May 23, a statement issued online, accompanied by photos of Mr. Khoshaba's Illinois license, erroneously claimed that Mr. Khoshaba was an American pilot that had bombed Baghdad and that he had been killed. The report, signed by Al Qaeda, has not been verified. According to family members have stated that Mr. Khoshaba's brother was contacted 3 times by the captors during the week of 22.
