Wael Mamduh Qushha (Wael Qushha; Wael Mamdouh; Wael Mamduh)
![]()
Wael Mamduh Qushha worked for International Support Services, a firm described as British-owned and Basra-based. A video proving his capture was shown on Iran's al-Alam TV, with his captors demand British withdrawal from Iraq. The date of his abduction is often identified as April 12 rather than April 9th. According to the Jordanian government release, "Qushha's brother Talal told the AP on Tuesday that ISS informed him on April 12 that his brother had been taken by seven armed men who assaulted al-Rashid Hotel in Basra three days earlier." The assailants are said to have been dressed as Iraqi security personnel.
