About Core SystemsCore Systems is a privately held company founded in 1990 to supply ion implant technology products and services to the semiconductor manufacturing community. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Core has unique access to technology suppliers, materials, and technical resources. Core distributes and sells its products worldwide by direct sales and through representatives and distributors.Management TeamThe Core Team is a very specialized technical group with many years of experiences in the field of ion implantation and related technology. Don Lindsey, Founder and CEO, has more than 30 years in semiconductor manufacturing and semiconductor capital equipment design and manufacture. Don began his career at National Semiconductor where is he was Manger of Equipment Engineering for the Diffusion and Ion implantation. Later he joined Eaton Semiconductor Equipment Operation in 1984, and was the West Coast Sr. Applications Engineer. After creating and operating Ion Implant ServicesÕ (IIS) fab for several years in Sunnyvale, CA, he established Core Systems in 1990 to fulfill ion implantation needs which were not commercially available at the time. Walt Wriggins, Vice President of Operations, comes to Core Systems with 20 years of semiconductor equipment experience in a variety of technical and marketing roles. Recently, he was with Ion Implant Systems (IIS), where he was vice president of sales and marketing. Before that position he was vice president of marketing at Varian Thin Films Division of Varian Associates, which was later acquired by Novellus Systems, Inc. Earlier he worked in key marketing and business development positions in the ion implant product groups of Applied Materials and Axcelis. Walt received a BA in Applied Science, and a BS in Material Science & Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA for Boston University. Ron Eddy, Director of Process Technology, has more than 25 years of experience in implanter technology and operations. He worked briefly in 2001 for Ion Implant Services as engineering director, before which he spent most of the previous 15 years with Varian Associates, where he was manager of operations and process engineering. He also has worked for MotorolaÕs Mesa, Arizona, semiconductor fab where he was engineering group manager for research and development.Steve Lindsey, CFO, brings 25 years of management experience to Core. As Chairman of TEC828 he was a facilitator of Silicon Valley CEO member roundtable discussions and individual consultations with technology executives. He was a founder and president of several non-profit organizations and CEO of Walden Environment, a tax exempt corporation. From 1995 to present he has been CFO of Core Systems. Steve has a BA in Psychology from Fullerton State University and an MA in Social Science from Azusa Pacific College.
